Who are the people behind Tritex Games?
Tritex Games is owned and independently run by Jason Thornton. I have personally been involved in gaming circles for over three decades and have a true passion for the gaming hobby and all things sci-fi & fantasy. I always enjoyed playing games when I was younger but there was never a great range out there to play so I usually played the classics such as Risk and Monopoly. When I was a teenager I discovered Dungeons and Dragons and roleplayed for a number of years. In my early 20’s I got into playing collectable card games such as MTG and around this time I also learned to play other specialist games and was introduced to war gaming.
I have always preferred playing shorter skirmish games such as Blood Bowl rather than larger scale battles and when WOTC introduced Dungeons & Dragons and Star Wars miniature games I played these for a while. I started up Tritex Games in 2004 as I found there was a need for a store that focused on supplying a large selection of fantasy and sci-fi miniatures for war gaming and roleplaying. The range has been growing ever since.
In 2013 we added Fantasy Flight Games games such as X-Wing miniatures, Star Wars Imperial Assault and Star Wars Armada and other miniature games quickly followed.
In 2015 we added Games Workshop to our store and now we supply a vast selection of all their games, paints and accessories.
In 2017 we opened a new retail unit in Stafford for tabletop gaming and organising play. This has been hampered in 2020 & 2021 due to Covid but we hope to re-open as soon as Government and safety allows.
Tritex Games couldn’t be run without the help of a great team and I am fortunate to have the support of a great team my wife Bethany, Sandra, Sarah, Joseph and Alice working alongside me. During the busy seasons and at trade shows my daughter Amber and other staff come to work for us on a part-time basis and help us keep the orders flying out the door as fast as they come in.
Do we attend any trade events and shows?
We attend a number of shows and tournaments during the year but we only trade at a few of these. The large ones being Salute at London Excel in April, UK Games Expo at the NEC in Birmingham in May/June and the NAFC Blood Bowl tournament in Nottingham in May. We also sponsor a number of gaming clubs and tournaments in relation to the games we support on our site and who use the figures we sell.
Who are our suppliers?
We are fortunate enough to have some great relations with our suppliers: Impact Miniatures, Shadowforge, Willy Miniatures, Esdevium Games (or Asmodee), Enigma, Alliance Games (USA), Winning Moves, Games Workshop, Cog-O-Two and other gaming distributors. We have also just started trading with some new companies such as Cosmic Group, Heo and Expo Tools and a few manufacturers in China who are going to be producing gaming accessories, dice and miniatures for us in the near future.
We are looking to add new product ranges annually that ‘fit’ with our range. If you are a manufacturer and are interested in supplying us with your products, then please use the ‘contact-us’ page to get in touch.
We would also like to thank all of our suppliers for their continued support.

If we don’t currently list what you are looking for, drop us an e-mail to let us know what it is you are looking for and we will do our best to accommodate. We are happy to quote on most games even those not listed in our current range. If we can get it for you, we will.
We believe in sharing the profits from our success with others who are in need.
Something many do not know about us is that we are Christians and it is cool to be a Gamer and a Christian too. As part of our faith we believe in giving a share of what we receive to those who are less fortunate than ourselves. Each year we give away 10% of our profits to a local mission or charity in support of their work.
Thanks for taking the time to learn more about us. And we hope you like the web site and would encourage feedback on what you think.
